I found a flash drive in a regular sausage: at first I thought the flash drive had accidentally ended up in the food until I checked its contents.

Yesterday, I bought a pack of ordinary sausages at the grocery store – nothing fancy, just something quick to make a few sandwiches.

When I got home, I sliced some, ate a few pieces, and put the rest in the fridge. Everything seemed completely normal.

The next morning, I decided to make breakfast using the same sausage. But as soon as I started cutting it, the knife met unexpected resistance, as if there was something solid inside. I assumed maybe it had frozen a bit overnight. Still, when I tried slicing another piece, the blade stopped again. Curious, I seemed closer and froze. Something metallic was glinting from the center of the sausage.

At first, I thought it was a bit of metal or plastic. But when I carefully pried it out, my stomach turned and it was a flash drive, an ordinary USB stick, covered in bits of sausage. The thought made me sick. I had already eaten from this package! How on earth could a flash drive end up inside a factory-sealed sausage?

Disgust gave way to curiosity.

I plugged the flash drive into my computer, not really knowing what to expect—and what I saw made my skin crawl. There was only one folder on it, titled “OPEN ME.” Inside, just a single image: a photo of a man staring straight into the camera, laughing.

I dropped the mouse and just sat there, gazing at the screen, a chill creeping up my spine. Maybe it was someone’s idea of a twisted prank but who would go so far as to hide a flash drive inside food?

Now I’m torn between calling the police to investigate or just tossing the whole thing out and trying to forget it ever happened. Either way, I know one thing for sure and I’ll never look at store-bought sausage the same way again.
